4-Car Crash Delays Traffic On I-295 (Updated)

A four-vehicle crash with injuries was delaying traffic on Interstate 295 on Wednesday morning, May 8, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on I-295 northbound near Exit 65 (Sloan Avenue) in Hamilton Township, according to the NJDOT and New Jersey State Police.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between four passenger vehicles, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman.

There were minor injuries reported and one driver was taken to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation.

Two left lanes of three lanes were closed, 511nj.org reported.
